On January 30-31, community members of Kashekye and Indigenous Batwa (from Kyevu ) gathered on BFFF land to meet one another, build relationships, exchange plant knowledge, and brainstorm solutions to address community challenges.

A desire to continue building cultural relationships (between Kashekye & Indigenous Batwa) became a focal point, along with a shared commitment to reclaim sustainable (food forest) agricultural practices, environmental conservation, and care of land and water.

Others in attendance included BFFF team members and Lake Bunyonyi Rotarians.

It was a momentous time of reconciliation, mindset shifts, kinship, and empowerment across diverse ages, genders, communities, and cultures.

Connections and relationships were created with land, water, and people.
