Bamboo-planting Event (April 30, 2025) Bunyonyi Food Forest Foundation is grateful to Self Help Africa who donated and delivered 50 bamboo shoots to BFFF land. BFFF community members – from all genders, ages, and backgrounds – came together to plant these bamboo to strengthen BFFF’s long shoreline, help decrease soil erosion, and provide future opportunities

Tree-Planting Log (March, 2025)

Fruitful Times at BFFF… The over 200 trees, plants, shrubs, and seedlings that were planted (on Feb. 22, 2025) are thriving due to the onset of Lake Bunyonyi’s rainy season and the care-taking by BFFF member, George Atwebembere. A documented list of plants and locations has also been created (thanks to BFFF member, Joe Karmel).

Boat Safety Begins… (March, 2025)
